Here he crafts small quantities of fantastically rich vin de pays. His secret is gnarled old Syrah vines crazily low yields mellow oak-ageing... in short Chateauneuf treatment - but at a much lower price. Enticing aromas of wild cherries spicy vanilla oak and cassis. Satin-textured powerful warm berry fruit and a lovely long finish.
