Bodegas Primicia Reserva 2004 RED Spain

Bodegas Primicia Reserva 2004 RED Spain
Housed in a beautiful 14th century building in the village of Laguardia Primicia is run by the three Madrid brothers - Rodolfo Roberto and Juan Ramon and was recently named among Rioja's Top 20 houses in Decanter magazine by John Radford the UK's leading Rioja authority. Altitude is important here too with their highest vineyards lying at over 700 ft above sea level. Limited release of this ultra-stylish Reserva - previous vintages have been described as "almost Pomerol style" by Decanter Magazine and have developed something of a cult following. Long fermentation and restrained use of new oak creates a complex structured wine with uncharted depths. Despite tiny volumes and huge international demand the Madrid brothers have allocated 50 exclusive cases.
