Little surprise then that their 1999 Gran Reserva was given a remarkable 88 points by super-critic Robert Parker and notched up a highly-sought after Silver medal at a 2007 US wine competition. The secrets behind the wine's success are the wonderfully concentrated hand-picked Tempranillo grapes grown in Valdepe?as - Spain's oldest wine region - and the long period spent mellowing in oak barrels.
